Non-alcoholic Aperol Spritz Mocktail Recipe

What You'll Need

Non-Alcoholic Prosecco or Sparkling Wine
A traditional Aperol Spritz starts with Prosecco, so I recommend using a non-alcoholic Prosecco (here’s the one I use) or dry alcohol-free sparkling wine for the most authentic flavor. If you prefer something sweeter, sparkling white grape juice is also a lovely option.

A Non-Alcoholic Aperol Alternative
The signature bittersweet citrus flavor of an Aperol Spritz comes from Aperol itself, so a quality non-alcoholic alternative makes all the difference. My personal favorite is this one.I personally don’t like too mush of this flavor in my spritzes so start out with just 2oz or less and taste test. Recreating that classic Aperol flavor is surprisingly difficult, so I highly recommend one of the alcohol-free spirits if possible.

Sparkling Water
A splash of sparkling water or soda water gives this mocktail its light, refreshing finish and those beautiful bubbles that make a spritz so enjoyable. Any plain sparkling water or seltzer will work, though I always reach for plain San Pellegrino or THIS BLOOD ORANGE one that's almost no sugar + so yummy in the Aperol spritz -or- on its own.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces non-alcoholic Prosecco or sparkling wine

  • 2 ounces non-alcoholic Aperol alternative

  • 1 ounce soda water

  • Orange slice and edible flowers, for garnish (optional)

How to Make the Aperol Spritz Mocktail

One of the reasons I love this mocktail is how simple it is to make. It comes together in just a few minutes and feels every bit as special as the classic cocktail during a hot summer day!

1: Fill a large wine or spritz glass with ice.

2: Pour in the non-alcoholic Prosecco or sparkling wine.

3: Add your non-alcoholic Aperol alternative.

4: Top with sparkling water and stir gently, being careful not to disturb the lovely bubbles too much.

5: Garnish with an orange slice and enjoy!
